Summer Update

elete Athletes have been busy battling the heat this summer.

Lanny and Tracy Barnes have been all over the US, from skiing sand dunes in Colorado to conquering the North American Biathlon Summer Rollerski Championships, with Tracy winning that event and Lanny taking second.

Jeff Kerkove has been racing all over with the rest of the Ergon team, most recently winning the inaugural Pierre's Hole 100 Mountain Bike Race. The course was made of four 25 mile laps with over 4000ft of climbing per lap! Jeff crushed it for the win in a time of 9:17.

Yours truly (Sarah Kaufmann) participated in my first mountain bike stage race; the Intermontane Challenge in Kamloops, BC. It suffered from a few hiccups as a first year event but was full of killer riding for five days. Temperatures were over 100degrees most days and I downed a lot of elete! I managed third place and a spot on the podium.

Check back to see what elete athletes are up to as the summer winds down.
